About TalkCoach
TalkCoach was founded in 2021 by Kezia Lawson, an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, with the vision of creating a supportive space where people can improve their communication and build confidence, both personally and professionally.
Our Approach
Kezia’s approach combines traditional Speech and Language Therapy with coaching and psychological approaches, recognising that effective communication support often goes beyond surface-level symptoms and works best when it also addresses the more hidden aspects - like mindset, emotions, and self-belief - that can deeply influence communication.
This unique combination of Speech and Language Therapy and coaching forms the foundation of TalkCoach’s philosophy. Each Speech and Language Therapist on our team integrates coaching skills and techniques into their clinical work where appropriate, helping clients communicate with confidence, enjoy meaningful conversations, and experience the positive impact of effective communication in their lives and work.
Our Team
Kezia works very closely with the team of Associate Speech and Language Therapists. Our Associate SLTs are fully licensed, experienced Speech and Language Therapists, and the title “Associate” simply reflects their position within TalkCoach. Each therapist brings their own strengths and specialisations and is dedicated to providing a high standard of compassionate, client-centred care.

“Since graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2011, I’ve worked with adults with communication and swallowing difficulties in NHS teams in Kent, London and Yorkshire.
I was working as the Team Lead of an Adult Speech and Language Therapy team in the NHS when I realised I was drifting away from my passion; helping people to improve their communication in order to achieve a more fulfilling life. This led me to sign up for a Life Coaching diploma, and I qualified as a Life Coach in 2021.
After training as a coach, I quickly saw how embedding coaching skills into my work as a Speech and Language Therapist often led to much more transformational results for my clients. Also, the vast majority of my Life Coaching clients were coming to me for help with their communication, with goals such as…
👉 confidently speaking up in work meetings without feeling like an imposter
👉 engaging in spontaneous social conversations without overthinking everything and feeling like an idiot
👉having the confidence to speak to a spouse about the things that really matter without resulting in conflict. So developing my Communication Coaching services felt like a natural next step, allowing me to bring together my skills, knowledge and experience to help people reach their communication potential. I have since completed additional training in psychological approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), as well as training in trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practices, which perfectly complements this work.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have found roles that I enjoy so much, feel privileged to work with such a range of different people and I genuinely love every day at work.
I am a solo parent and spend most of my time outside of work with my very cheeky and sweet neurodivergent son. In my (limited!) spare time I can usually be found growing things in my garden, creating healthy recipes, out for a run or on my paddleboard.”
Louise Callaway - Associate Speech and Language Therapist
Louise C joined the team in 2023, working part-time alongside her role in an NHS community team. She works primarily with adults with communication and swallowing impairments caused by neurological conditions.

“Since a young age, I have always felt a desire to help and support others. I initially left school after completing my AS levels in search of a career that would fulfil this. I began working as a Dental Nurse in 2014 and enjoyed building rapports and putting patients at ease during their visits. After much deliberation I decided to return to sixth form in 2015 to complete my A-Levels in hoping of taking a more active leading role in future clinical appointments.
I was fortunate enough to gain a place on the competitive undergraduate Speech and Language Therapy course at DeMontfort University. After four years of learning, hands on clinical placement experience and fun days out, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science First Class Honours degree.
I moved back to my home town in Kent and began working to support both adults and children with their speech, language and communication needs within community NHS and subsequent private sectors.
I truly enjoy every day at work and continue to be dedicated to providing compassionate, high quality, patient-centred care.
I love the outdoors and spend lots of my time visiting the beach, walking my dog in the local countryside and playing netball twice a week. I enjoy being creative by painting, learning new facts when reading and engaging in mindfulness practices. I have also recently moved house and envisage lots of my spare time being allocated to DIY and decorating!”
Louise Jamieson - Associate Speech and Language Therapist
Louise J joined the team in 2024. She works with adults with communication and swallowing impairments caused by a range of conditions including neurological conditions, voice disorders, head and neck cancer, and more.

“As a busy Mum of three (now grown up) boys, I worked in the Early Years sector for over 17 years. I had a passion for continued learning and development and alongside my job gained a Ba honours degree in Early years education. On completion, I realised my passion for supporting people with speech and language difficulties and decided to continue my learning.
I attended University for 2 years to study for a Postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy. Whilst studying and during clinical placement, a desire to work with adults was ignited. I have now been working as a Speech and Language Therapist for over 4 years. I have worked in busy community NHS teams. I have worked with a varied caseload including dysphagia, neurological conditions, head and neck cancer and voice. I have accessed ongoing professional development to increase my own knowledge.
I am passionate about my role and focus on ongoing learning and development within adult speech and language therapy. I feel motivated to deliver meaningful support and care for each individual I work with.
In my spare time I enjoy regular walks at my nearby beach with my very energetic cocker spaniel puppy, spending time with family and friends, reading and pursuing my interest in art and painting.”
Chloe Hastings - Associate Speech and Language Therapist
Chloe joined the team in 2024, working part-time alongside her role in an NHS community team. She has particular interests working with neurodiversity, stammering and deafness/Deafness.

“I have always been interested in language and reading, which led me to study English at university, where I earned a BA (Hons) degree. I then worked for five years as a Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Assistant before switching to a hospital role as an Infant Feeding Support Worker. This experience reaffirmed my passion for Speech and Language Therapy, and I decided to return to university to pursue a three-year BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy.
Since qualifying, I have worked with a variety of client groups needing support with communication and dysphagia, including roles within adult community teams across Kent and Greater London.
I have a particular interest in neurodiversity, stammering, and deafness/Deafness. My favorite aspect of being a Speech and Language Therapist is the connection and trust I build with clients. I feel privileged to work with incredibly interesting people, and learning about each client allows me to provide tailored, individualised therapy.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with family, friends, and animals, as well as reading, walking, and baking cakes for a local charity.”
